Our Story

Why We Do This...

The Eva Project was born from the belief that no mother should feel alone in her hardest moments — while navigating the Child Welfare System. Whether she’s managing grief, uncertainty, or the quiet weight of an impossible season — she deserves to know she is seen, loved, and held by a community that cares.

Each compassion box is hand-assembled with intention — a tangible reminder that hope is real, help is possible, and she is not forgotten.

our mission

We walk alongside mothers with comfort and hope.

The Eva Project exists to bring compassion, dignity and support to mothers who have had their children removed from their care. Founded by a Los Angeles County Social Worker and inspired by her grandmother Eva.

We believe that supporting a mother’s emotional well-being is inseparable from supporting her children’s future.

"No mother should have to navigate her hardest chapter alone"
